The Healing Balm Is Jesus
Jeremiah 8:22 (KJV):
“Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?”
This healing balm is Jesus—the Word of God made flesh. The end of every sickness in your life begins with the realization that Jesus has taken it away.

The Reality of Your Healing
This truth may be hard to accept, but it is real. Nothing is certain unless something has been done about it. Your healing is sure because God has done something about it by providing Jesus.
Jesus is the only true provision for your healing. He is the real medicine you need to get well again. Any prescription without Jesus the Healer is powerless. Healing is not negotiated by drugs or doctors alone. Your healing was concluded thousands of years ago in the finished work of Christ Jesus—long before sickness entered your life.
Having medical experts around you does not guarantee perfect healing. What makes your healing sure is that Jesus paid the price with His blood on the cross. His payment guarantees your total healing from sickness and disease. Jesus paid in full for every situation you face today, including your pain.
The Assurance of Payment: God’s Word as Your Receipt
When you pay for something, you receive a receipt as proof of payment. This receipt assures you that you will not have to pay again. Similarly, God’s Word is the receipt that assures us of the full payment Jesus made with His blood.
God is deeply interested in restoring you to health and getting you back on your feet. His continual assurance through His Word is that you are healed if you are sick. If God says you are healed, then you are healed—trust Him.
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV):
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV):
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
God’s Word Is Sure and Higher Than All Names
There is nothing too difficult to believe in this. God’s Word is sure because He has magnified it above all His names.
Psalm 138:2 (KJV):
“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”
Your healing is sure, coming only from God and His Word. Take God’s Word as seriously as you do your medications, and watch how miraculously you will be healed and made whole.
A Testimony of Miraculous Healing
I want to share a testimony of how God miraculously healed me from severe pain.
I was once knocked down by a severe malaria that defied all medications. The more medicine I took, the worse the pain became. After two days, I said to myself, “I can’t continue like this.” I stopped taking the drugs and begged to be left alone.
The pain increased as if I was carrying a heavy burden. That night, it felt as if death was near. I couldn’t even open my mouth to speak. In my heart, I prayed, “God, whatever You cannot do, let it remain undone forever.” I said it was better to die believing God than to continue taking worthless drugs.
Between 1 am and 2 am, I managed to whisper in tears, “Holy Spirit, are You going to leave me like this?” Immediately, I felt His loving presence—it was like a dream but so real.
Psalm 126:1 (KJV):
“When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.”
I felt a being enter me from my head down to my stomach, then to my anus, where I felt heat and heard a sound as if I had defecated. Something left my system. All the pain vanished instantly. I stood up, sweating from that encounter, amazed, and told my wife, “A miracle just happened. God has healed me.”
I will never forget that experience until my last breath. To Him alone be all the glory.
