- Early Life: Born on November 7, 1918, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Billy Graham grew up on a dairy farm, which taught him the value of hard work that would serve him well in his future endeavors.

- Religious Awakening: Graham had a personal religious awakening at age 16. This experience shaped his future and laid the foundation for his career as an evangelist.

- Education: After studying at Florida Bible Institute, Graham attended Wheaton College, where he fine-tuned his preaching skills and met his future wife, Ruth McCue Bell.

- Career: Billy Graham was an American evangelist known for his large-scale preaching missions. He was the first full-time staff member of Youth for Christ and went on to found the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He wrote more than 30 books and conducted preaching crusades in stadiums and sports arenas across the globe.

- Awards and Legacy: Graham received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal and was named North Carolina's "Favorite Son." He was a pioneer in using new technologies to spread God's word and was a prominent figure in the evangelist movement. read more
